The current market conditions are steady.

While eggs are still high, the warmer weather will see a return to normal laying conditions and therefore better supply and lower prices.

Tomatoes have been an issue with the disease currently affecting crops in SA.

Bio security have closed our borders to the areas affected meaning we are relying on QLD tomatoes. So far, we haven’t seen a jump in prices, but supply and demand could change that.

I’m often asked about stone fruit and when is will be available? My answer to that is, the longer the fruits stay on the trees, the better they taste. As they ripen they become juicier and sweeter. Younger picked fruit will be expensive and tasteless, hang in there for the best quality, stone fruit season wont be long.

Queensland strawberries are finishing and Victoria are starting next month, whilst AU grapes will be back very soon! I absolutely believe Australia produces the best tasting grapes and I cant wait to get them back in the store for you!
